Rapid prototyping experiments – step 2 – 3D modeling and sculpting
This collaboration (in experimental testing) between Villari and the IUAV University (Venice, Italy), aims to introduce the rapid prototyping techniques in the manufacturer art of porcelain. The target is to preserve history and prestige of handworking factories, building a database of 3d models through the use of laser scanning and digital sculpting techniques.
The process include three sequential steps:
1 – laser scanning
2 – 3D modeling and sculpting
3 – 3D printing
